At the Annual General meeting held on 23 August 2006, the name of the Society was changed from “Australasian” to “Australian”.

Membership Fees

A decision was made to terminate annual membership fees for existing and new members. The newly introduced once off fees are:

• Ordinary members $50
• Corporate members (two members are entitled to be nominated) $150
• All full time students can join for FREE

The benefits to members of the Australasian Ceramic Society are:

• Belong to a society which is internationally recognised and that plays a part in the global ceramics community.
• Take advantage of discounts on registration for biennial international Austceram Conferences.
• Members only awards.
• Members–only free access to electronic versions of the Journal and Newsbulletin.
• Partake in technical visits, presentations, socials and other networking events at the State Branch level (NSW, VIC and WA).
• Corporate members can have a link to their company web site prominently displayed on the Australian Ceramic Society web site.
• Professional recognition.
