Two of the best known members of the massive Paris-based Keyria – Ceric Paris and Ceric Wistra – have signed up for a total of 36 square metres at the upcoming Indian Ceramics 2008 exhibition in Mumbai. This move further consolidates the show’s credentials in the brick, tile, block and extruded products area of the ceramic industry, as well as for technical and advanced ceramics. Ceric Paris has been established as a global leader for many years in the design, manufacture and installation of plant and equipment for the heavy clay sector. Ceric Wistra, which is headquartered in Köln in Germany, is a long standing and respected innovator and supplier of high temperature kilns and associated technologies. Ceric was founded back in 1960 and through organic growth and acquisition has become perhaps the most widely recognised name across the world in its field. As we turned into the new millennium, major changes across Western Europe in heavy clayworking machinery saw Ceric acquire Rieter (Germany) and then Keller (also Germany), going on in subsequent years to also acquire Morando (Italy) and Alphaplâtre (France). It also incorporates Equip Ceramic (Spain). Ceric later became part of Groupe Legris Industries at the end of 2006 and this year has been renamed Keyria. Overall, Keyria employs around 2,000 people world-wide and has an annual turnover in excess of €350 million. It has one of the widest references in its field, with more than 1,600 customer sites installed. Ceric Wistra combines the knowledge and experience of major European kiln manufacturers, Wistra, Coudamy and Item with over 100 years’ experience in the ceramic industry. This combination enables the promotion of a fully rounded thermal equipment offering at Indian Ceramics, which includes burners, kilns, sintering lines and full turnkey plants. The company sees the combination of group performance, high temperature knowledge and innovative prowess as having provided the basis for its elevated status in the field of advanced ceramics and its high tech products. Experience will certainly be brought to bear on the floor of the show in Mumbai in March as Ceric Wistra has installed many new plants in India already.
