The Australian Ceramic Society is offering several bursaries for full time students who are presenting a poster or a paper on ceramics related subject at Materials and Austceram 2007 International Conference. The conference will take place at the Novotel, Brighton Le Sands in Sydney between July 4 and 6, 2007. To be eligible you must be a member of the Australian Ceramic Society. If you are not a member you can join free of fees at www.austceram.com/membership.asp. Interested applicants should send a letter from their supervisor stating the title of the poster/paper to be presented, how much funding is provided by the university or other sources and how much funding is sought from the Society before 25 May to: A/Prof Jim Low, j.low@curtin.edu.au.
The Australian Ceramic Society has made these funds available to encourage students to participate in the biennial conference and to assist their professional development. Furthermore, by presenting their work at the Materials and Austceram 2007, they could gain a valuable and permanent record of their work if their paper is published in the Journal of the Australian Ceramic Society after refereeing. The journal of the Australian Ceramic Society has been published since the 1960s and chronicles developments in ceramic technology that have taken place both in Australia and abroad. |
